Sculpture

For sculpture we were given a list of words, which were very vague and we had to then choose two and base our sculptures around theses two words. I chose tight and intimate. At first I knew I wanted to work with wire and wool and intertwine them to express the words tight and intimate. Although my first try did not turn out too well, when I develop my sculpture, next time I am going to use more wire and try to shape the wool more into something real.
My tutor for sculpture told me to look at the artist Annie Cattrell, as her sculptures are body parts yet they look a bit like the techniques of the wool I am using, so I should aim to make my sculpture look like something rather than just hanging there.

I also wanted to play with the lighting with my sculpture as when I shine a torch at different angles the shadows look really interesting and definitely add to the sculpture. I want to make it bigger first, so just adding more to this one, then I will take a video in a dark room with just one light source moving and then video it.
